Volunteer For FINDS!

Volunteers are the backbone of any organization, especially a volunteer-organization!.  If you have a passion for helping children with Down Syndrome and would like to help out at one of our events or meetings, please contact us.

Being a volunteer is easy and painless. A few hours a month can make a huge difference in a child's life and you will get that warm feeling that you did something good for this world. Why not give us a call and see how you can help??

Types of Volunteer Positions

• Tutoring Volunteers - We are looking for high school and college students who can dedicate an hour of tutoring time to meet with one of our kids with Down Syndrome for help with math, reading and other school curriculum.  The volunteer must be willing to learn and apply different adjusted learning curriculum such as Touch Math and others.  FINDS will provide information and materials to help you learn when available.  Tutoring is typically done at one of the local libraries, GiGi's Playhouse in McHenry or at McHenry County College.

Hours to Volunteer: Monday-Saturday, flexible - remote work OK

• Event Volunteers
We are also looking for people to help with our annual events. See our calendar to find the events that would fit into your busy life. We especially need help with our annual Christmas Party and our Summer Picnic.
