Vitamin B12 deficiency is an issue that the providers at the Adult Down Syndrome Center often check for because it is found fairly frequently among individuals with Down syndrome. Having celiac disease may contribute to lower levels of vitamin B12. Additional information about symptoms of and treatment for vitamin B12 deficiency can be found inthis resourcein our Resource Library.
