You won’t want to miss this! The Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) announced a collaboration with the Social Security Administration (SSA) on a Schedule A Recruitment Outreach Event. This event is designed to increase the number of people with disabilities hired by SSA under Schedule A. Hosted by MOPD’s Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) Project, the event will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2020, 10 am-Noon, at the MOPD Field Office.
Come learn more! MOPD invites representatives from workforce development agencies to attend their upcoming WIPA Program Partners meeting to learn more details about the event directly from Social Security, such as types of positions available, knowledge and skills required by candidates, and the application process. This information will assist in identifying appropriate candidates to attend the Schedule A Recruitment Outreach Event on April 9th.
